Hotel, Flights, Transfers: Everything You Need to Know to Happily Arrive at Fuertedélica

On the morning of November 22, the third edition of Fuertedélica begins in Corralejo. It will start with a free round table that will bring together some of the brightest young Spanish researchers in the field of psychedelics.

Many of you are asking what you need to do to participate in the conference, stay in Corralejo, or move around Fuerteventura, so we have prepared this brief guide to address all your concerns. If you have any other questions, don’t hesitate to share it in Fuertedélica’s Telegram Group.

How do I get to Fuerteventura?

Fuerteventura is connected by air with dozens of direct flights from the rest of the Canary Islands, the Iberian Peninsula, and Europe. On the Aena website, you can check all the flights that depart from and arrive at Fuerteventura Airport (FUE), around 90 daily from destinations such as Zurich, Seville, Tenerife, or Luxembourg.

Many of these flights are with low-cost airlines, so tickets are very affordable. For example, a round-trip flight for the dates of Fuertedélica (November 22-24) costs 92 euros from Madrid with Ryanair and a little more, 110 euros, with Iberia Express. The flight duration is 2 hours and 50 minutes.

Residents of the Canary Islands (and also the Balearic Islands) benefit from a 75% discount on fares, so a direct flight from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria with Binter costs just over 15 euros, round trip.

And what about visitors from the rest of Europe? You can get to Fuerteventura from London for 63 euros, round trip, with Ryanair, or 82 euros with EasyJet. A bargain for a flight of just under four hours, and twenty degrees more temperature guaranteed.

As we explained before, all roads lead to Fuertedélica:

How do I get from the airport to Corralejo?

Corralejo is located at the northern end of Fuerteventura, a few kilometers swim from Lanzarote, the northernmost island. The airport is 38 kilometers to the south, and 6 kilometers away from Puerto del Rosario, the island’s capital. There are several options to get to Corralejo:

  • Bus. The cheapest but also the slowest option: you’ll have to take bus line 6 to Puerto del Rosario and then change lines to Corralejo. The entire journey can take an hour and a half.
  • Taxi. It will cost you around 40 euros.
  • Rental car. At the airport, you’ll find the main car rental agencies, local and international, where you can rent a vehicle from 60 euros a week.

(Warning to navigators: it’s well worth staying a few extra days to explore the fascinating island of Fuerteventura!).

Where can I stay in Corralejo?

Corralejo (19,000 inhabitants) is a tourist city, with dozens of hotel establishments. From Fuertedélica, we are recommending the Hotel Surfing Colors, which hosted the first two editions of the conference, and which is located 2.5 kilometers from the Municipal Auditorium of Corralejo, the conference venue. At Surfing Colors, you can book a double room with breakfast for 80 euros on the dates of the event, either through Booking or on the hotel’s website.

When is the best time to register for the conference?

When you buy your ticket for Fuertedélica, you will receive a QR code in your email. This code will serve to receive your accreditation at the Municipal Auditorium of Corralejo (C/ Huriamen 1), the event venue. We recommend you arrive from 11:00 AM on Friday, November 22, before the official opening of the congress, to avoid queues. Latecomers can also buy their ticket at the auditorium itself at a slightly higher price: 40 euros for one day or 60 euros for both days.

Where does the catamaran to Lobos Island embark?

We have reserved Saturday morning for some tourism, as man does not live by psychedelics alone. We have rented a catamaran to sail to the nearby Lobos Island and snorkel in its pristine waters.

This is an activity that is not included in the price of admission to the conferences. Participation is optional and involves an additional cost of 100 euros, including VAT. You have all the information about this voyage on our website. On Saturday, we will send you information about the catamaran’s boarding point to your email.

How do I get to the party?

The closing party, which will take place on Saturday after the conferences, will be held at the Banana Beach Club (Avda. Grandes Playas, km 24), located 4.2 kilometers from the Municipal Auditorium. You can have dinner at the venue, and the entrance fee is 10 euros in advance and 15 euros if you wait until the last moment.

Stay tuned to our social networks, where we will keep you informed of any changes or updates. See you at Fuertedélica!
