The year 2024 marks a historic milestone in the field of psychedelic therapies. It is expected that, in the month of August, MDMA (popularly known as “ecstasy”) will obtain authorization for its medical use, especially as an adjunct in psychological therapy for post-traumatic stress disorder. This breakthrough marks the beginning of a new era in psychedelic medicine, which promises to incorporate in the coming years a range of substances, such as psilocybin, LSD, DMT, 5-MeO-DMT, pharmaceutical preparations of ayahuasca or 2C-B, among others. This is in addition to the availability of ketamine, which is already used in numerous clinics in Spain within the framework of psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy.

Fuertedélica provides a comprehensive conference that addresses the different spectrums of psychedelic cultures, ranging from medical systems that incorporate psychoactive plants to drug policies, contemporary psychedelic culture and therapeutic applications of these compounds. The event will be organized around four round tables, each with three specialists who will share their perspectives in 15-minute presentations.

This event is set to be an essential platform for dialogue, learning and deepening the understanding of the interconnections between psychedelics and various sectors of our life and society.
